Day 30, Thursday: React to this term: Letting Go

I’ve found letting go to be hard. Everyone does. But what could be considered even harder is not letting go. To me, letting go means more than getting rid of anger, jealousy. It means letting go of… feeling towards something completely. It means becoming so apathetic, so numb to something, that you’ve gotten rid of it from your life completely. When it comes to losing a family member, a place you miss, that’s not good. Becoming apathetic to something is one of the worst things you can do in this situations. You want to keep the good memories. You want to hold on to the things that made you a better person, and if that brings back a few painful memories, is it worth it?

Unfortunately, I can’t answer that question for you. But, I think those memories define you. They shape you as a human being. If you let go, you can end up lifeless, apathetic. It’s a rubbish feeling, but it’s a possibility. There’s always that risk. Whether or not you choose to take it is completely up to you.

One day left, then a break, methinks 😉 ,
